On July 19th, Target Corporation, an American retail Corporation, plans to roll out a new generative artificial intelligence tool to give exceptional experience to team members by opening nearly 2,000 stores by August, becoming the first major retailer to share this technology to its store team members across the U.S.
The tool is a GenAI-powered chatbot called Store Companion designed by Target that can answer questions, coach new team members, support store operations management and many more.
Interaction in India
The company’s India based GCC located in Bengaluru plays an important role in its overall growth and development. In its first-ever media interaction in India, the company shared how it is using machine learning techniques to deliver highly personalized experiences.
Although it has no stores in India, company executives shared how India is helping in their remarkable experience on July 19 in a conference in Bengaluru. The executives also revealed that target recently deployed an app called Store Companion which is a chatbot for handheld devices, answering all the questions of the process and procedures in the language of their choice.

As per Brett Craig, the Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer in Target, there purpose is to make the job easier and quicker.

Improving the tools
The main purpose of the Target is to constantly improve its AI so that it will change the world with exceptional features and provide greater comfort.
