Apple is one the renowned companies in the world. It gives users a standard and sense of satisfaction through its service. Being one of the largest tech companies and popular for its products such as tablet and smartphone. We always feel that Apple is the best as it is at the top of the market but have you ever wondered why Apple hasn’t released foldable smartphones yet?
Problems with foldable smartphone
One biggest question that comes to mind when thinking about Apple is, Why is it not making Foldable Smartphones?
It’s been almost six years since seeing foldable phones in the market while almost all the brands have released one foldable like Samsung, Motorola, Vivo, and Xiaomi including Google. Well foldable phones have many problems in battery life, repairability and water resistance. Additionally, foldable phones are more complex to repair than normal phones due to their design.
These are some of the reasons that make a foldable phone less superior than a normal phone even with high price and demand.
Soon releasing foldable phones
According to reports Apple will launch a foldable phone until 2027 and the decision to delay the launch in the market even though others already have, is due to the company’s strict requirements for reliability. Apple launches foldable only after checking its durability and performance to meet its high standards.
“We’re not just focused on getting a product out the door quickly,” said the report, citing an Apple spokesperson. “We’re committed to delivering an exceptional user experience, and that means taking the time to get it right. We’re confident that our foldable phone will be worth the wait.”
Even though most of its rivals have earlier launched the foldable smartphones, Apple is taking its time to launch as it wants to create durability and doesn’t want to face the problem that others are facing.
A Industry Analyst said “Apple is not a company that rushes into new markets without thoroughly testing and perfecting its products. When they do enter the foldable phone market, it will be with a product that sets a new standard for quality and innovation.”
