The Paris Olympic Games 2024 is all set to start from 26 July to 11 August in Paris, France. Multiple countries are participating and hoping to get a medal. Nearly 600 athletes are representing the country’s USA team, hoping to bring a medal home from the Olympics. It is the USA’s 29th participation in the Summer Olympics.
Medals won by team USA at the Olympics
The United States team is one the top teams to win medals in the Olympics. As of now, American athletes have a total of 2,638 medals at the Summer Olympic Games While another 330 at the Winter Olympics Games, making the top medal-winning nation in history.
The USA team has broken the record through the 100-medal mark at every Olympic Games since Athens 2004, only in 2000 did USA medals jump down to 93 medals. Track, field athletics, and swimming are the top sports in the USA to win medals.

Games total eight times and it’s on the top of hosting Games compared to any other nation. Starting from the 1904 St. Louis Olympics to the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics.
The USA has a significant impact in the Olympics through their innovations, achievement, and technologies in sports infrastructural development. Overall we can say that the USA plays a major role in the history and ongoing evolution of the Olympic Games. For instance in the 1932 Los Angeles Olympics broke the ground with the use of electronic timing devices and in 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, set new standards for opening and closing ceremonies.
