After spending 17 years with Green Bay, Aaron Rodgers joined the New York Jets in one of the most buzzed-about trades of the previous year. Rodgers has now disclosed that Jets owner Woody Johnson enhanced the trade with a prestigious gift from Britain. Aaron Rodgers reveals special royal gift from Britain by the Jets owner Woody Johnson after getting signed into the team.

Johnson, who was the 66th Ambassador to the United Kingdom from 2017 to 2021, chose a thoughtful gift to impress Rodgers during their discussions. His distinctive present made a significant impact on the four-time NFL MVP.

Here’s the royal thing Woody Johnson gifted Aaron Rodgers

As A-Rod’s relationship with the Green Bay Packers soured, the Jets emerged as his top suitors. During their meeting at Rodgers’ Malibu mansion last offseason, Jets owner Woody Johnson arrived with a notable gift, according to the New York Post.

Turns out, Woody Johnson’s gift was not just special and sweet (literally), but also royal. Johnson actually sweetened the deal with some royal honeyz straight from the queen’s garden. “He gave me some honey from the queen’s garden,” Rodgers said.

Woody Johnson’s acquisition of Rodgers reflects a push to revive their success and restore glory to MetLife Stadium. Rodgers is aware of his role in this effort and addressed it in the media before the training camp started.

“As far as my beloved Jets fans. I got to meet a great one out in Tahoe,” Rodgers said at the presser. “And he’s passionate, just like the rest of you men and women are. And it’s going to be an up-and-down season, probably a lot more ups than downs. Just stick with us.” Rodgers said.

“Obviously, we want to stay healthy. Obviously, we got big dreams. It’s been a rough stretch the last 13 years. But the tide is turning.” He added.
