This is no secret that Remy Ma and Nicki Minaj are not friends. Both Remy and Nicki Minaj moved on from each other. Although the old wounds have not healed yet; both of them have since moved into the world of media broadcast, and agreed in one thing at least to an extent. The case was on the latest State Of The Culture episode, where Remy, Joe Budden, and Jinx were seen discussing Nicki and Joe’s recent “confrontation.”
Back Story
Nicki Minaj was seen supporting his “What’s Your Fantasy” co-star Shawnna and her comments about female rappers in the game during her interview with Chicago’s WGCI radio. In the video of The Shade Room’s Instagram account, Shawnna says that rappers are scared to mention her name. Moreover, Shawnna then gave a cautionary warning to the rappers who wanted to test her lyrical skills. Although she didn’t take Nicki’s name directly, alluded to Minaj and suggested they take their issues “to the booth.”
The Support
However, Remy actually understood the reason and some of Nicki’s positions.”I got some of the things she was saying,” explains Remy. “Because I know how that feels. To feel like people that was supposed to be your friends or people you thought was cool with you, and then they say some left-field shit. You be like, damn I thought we was alright. It’s upsetting, it makes you angry. It makes you want to come for them. I know how that feels,” added Remy.
On the other hand, Jinx thinks Nicki took a more calculated approach. “I think at some point she will figure out how to further her career or dedicate more time in this field as opposed to rap,” said Joe. Although Remy was wondering if that’s the thing what Nicki actually wants, Joe seemed to be convinced already.
