Queen Elizabeth has faced criticisms of shading light during her annual Christmas address. During her yearly speech, the Queen was seen surrounded by some family photos which included a picture of Prince William and Kate Middleton with their kids, Prince Louis, Princess Charlotte, and Prince George. There was a photo of her husband Prince Philip, a photo of her son Prince Charles and his wife Duchess Camilla, and a photo of her father as well.
Queen Elizabeth Faces Criticisms
However, fans noticed that the Queen did not have any pictures of Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan with their child baby Archie on her desk. Some Instagram users started questioning the queen on the Royal Family’s Instagram account, writing comments such as, “Where are harry meghan and archie your majesty?????” and “Wow dramaaaa no Harry and Meghan 😹”
As it said, the Queen only displayed photos that featured direct heirs and she is allowed to do things however she chooses. In 2017, she just had a photo of her two grandchildren at the time, Charlotte and George, as well as Philip whereas its previous year, she had a photo of Philip, Charles and herself. However, this changes every year to avoid the exact challenge it seems.
“Her daughter and two other sons are also missing. It looks like it’s just those in direct line to the throne. Calm down,” one fan pointed out, while another wrote, “For gods sake, she has the direct succession to the throne displayed in photos… it’s nothing to do with Harry or Meghan.”
According to the royal reporter Elizabeth Holmes shared in her Instagram Stories, the picture is taken in the Green Drawing Room of Windsor Castle, which is where Prince Harry and Meghan’s wedding and christening photos were taken earlier.
