He has already recorded the introduction to a special episode of Thomas & Friends named The Royal Engine, which also comprised of the younger versions of his grandmother the Queen and his father Prince Charles. Thomas & Friends will be aired on Netflix and the U.K.’s Milkshake; the royal episode will be seen on Netflix May 1 and on Milkshake the next day as well.

Variety published a promotional photo where Harry was seen sitting in a plaid armchair and reading from a Thomas book. In a statement Harry shared, “Thomas the Tank Engine has been a comforting, familiar face to so many families over the last 75 years — entertaining, educating and inspiring children on important issues through exciting stories and characters. I certainly have fond memories of growing up with Thomas & Friends and being transported to new places through his adventures.” On the other hand, the Sun has pointed out that Harry with his statement meant that when he said he’s a fan—he carried a Thomas backpack to his first day of nursery school way back in 1987.
