Prince Harry Collaborated With Jon Bon Jovi: Invictus Games

The Duke of Sussex, who is currently residing in Canada with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their son, Archie, is preparing for this year’s Invictus Games after disclosing his intention to step down as a senior member of the royal family. He’s even enlisted a special celebrity — Jon Bon Jovi in order to help!

On Thursday, the Sussex Royal Instagram handle shared a fake text conversation between Harry and the musician in which Bon Jovi offers to help out with the Invictus Games.

The Secret Back-Up Plan For Harry

The rocker posted in the clip, “I’m in London on the 28 of February and I have an idea… #Invictus”.
When he tells Prince Harry it will just be him performing, the duke gets concerned that he would be asked to sing. And so, Bon Jovi replied, “I’ve got some back up that I think will work…”.

The Brand New Recording

The post coincides with a press release from Buckingham Palace on Thursday, which stated that the Duke of Sussex will be visiting Abbey Road Studios in London during his return to the U.K. on Feb. 28.

There, he will meet Bon Jovi and the members of the Invictus Games Choir, who are recording a special single to aid the Invictus Games Foundation. The track “Unbroken” will be recorded at Abbey Road Studios and also for their iconic 1969 album cover which was made famous by The Beatles.

The song will “shine a spotlight on veterans living with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and honour their service.”

When & Where?

This year’s Invictus Games is scheduled to take place in The Hague, Netherlands, which will be attended by Harry and Meghan.

A royal source previously confirmed to ET that the couple will be in the U.K. “regularly” in the future despite speculation and contradictory reports.
