While Ellen DeGeneres and wife Portia de Rossi have been caught up in a war over their marriage, recently rumours have surfaced about their divorce which would cost around $500 million.

As she interacted with Us Weekly last month, Portia exposed a very different angle to their story explaining, “The divorce rumours came and then we really knew the perceptions had changed. I’m not kidding. I know it sounds ridiculous, but when that started happening, I thought, ‘Oh, now we’re finally accepted.’ We get the same s–t as every celebrity couple.” Sounds weird although, somewhere it yet makes sense.

Portia de Rossi then recalled her sight of strange news which was depicting the former couple of Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston. At that time, she understood how the press mechanism operates in reality. The philanthropist, however, recollected her experience detailing, “I was at a newsstand … and there was a cover of Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston. I literally just stared at it, and I was like, ‘They haven’t seen each other. … How is this even a thing? I know for a fact.’ … I actually took a picture of it and sent it to Ellen and said, ‘Can you believe this?’ Anyway, no, in other words, we avoid it. We don’t care.”
