The USA is bracing itself for a big upcoming election. From multiple rallies to speeches and social media trends, both the Republicans and Democrats, the biggest contenders for the elections are doubling down. With recent incident of Republican candidate Donad Trump’s attempted assassination, and Democrat Joe Biden pulling off of the elections, the whole scenario has become even more eventful. However, there are also claims of interference with the election, such as X, Space X and Tesla businessman Elon Musk claiming the Democrats have search banned Trump on Google. Here’s Why Elon Musk claims Donald Trump is search banned on Google.
Did Donald Trump really get search banned on Google?
Popular search engine Google is now under scrutiny. Recently, Elon Musk shared a post on X, a platform he owns, showing proof of Donald Trump’s alleged search ban. Musk shared a screenshot of his search page, with the word “President Donald” written on it.
Ideally, that would nudge the search Engine to show the name of ex President Donald Trump in the recommended searches. However, Musk’s picture showed a rather intriguing suggestion. Instead of Trump, the search suggestions showed “President Donald Duck” and “President Donald Regan”.
“Wow, Google has a search ban on President Donald Trump! Election interference?” The now viral post quoted. “They’re getting themselves into a lot of trouble if they interfere with the election.” Elon also warned.
These results do imply a tampering of the search algorithm in the back end. Google is known to search block topics that can be potentially harmful. Donald Trump’s assassination attempt is not one of those. Musk and Republican supporters have all pointed their fingers towards the Democrats, claiming they’re tampering with the elections.
Musk has also made another big claim to “buy Google” and shut the search engine for good. Many people have come out, criticizing Musk, reminding him that he bought Twitter (now X) to only “Tweak the algorithm to favor the Republicans”.
Who will be the Democrats Vice President candidate
The USA elections 2024 will be held on November 5, 2024. This is a Presidential election year, which means the new President and Vice President will be elected. The Presidential candidate for the Republican Party is Donald Trump with JD Vance as his Vice President candidate.
The Democratic Party on the other hand, has a new Presidential candidate, the current Vice President Kamala Harris. Her Vice Presidential candidate is not yet announced.
There are many assumptions on the next Vice President candidate, the options ranging from ex President Barack Obama’s wife Michelle Obama to various Governors. Governors Like Josh Shapiro, Tim Waltz and Andy Beshear are some of the names that have come forward in the race.
