Moreover, you can customize this as you like it depending on your taste buds and needs. So how much healthy you want your smoothie to be, depends a lot on you as well!

Ingredients

  • Two cups of pineapple juice
  • One frozen banana (cut in half)
  • Two cups of pineapple chunks (fresh or frozen)
  • ½ Cup Geek Yogurt
  • 1/2 cup skim milk, dairy-free
  • Honey
  • Ice cubes
  • Lime juice and vanilla essence (optional)

You must try to opt for fresh fruits. But in case you are not able to find fresh fruit, frozen will work as well. But keep the fruits out of the freezer or it will be difficult to blend it smoothly. Same is applicable for the banana too.

We suggest you to use Greek Yogurt for the best health benefits. But you can use normal yogurt as well. Use regular milk or dairy-free milk, for the ones conscious about fitness and the ones allergic to dairy products.

The freshness of the drink remains intact if you do not add any extra sweet. But for the ones like their drink sweet, use honey instead of sugar. This will add extra sweetness without harming your health.

Add some lime juice if you like. The tangy flavor will balance the sweetness added by the fruits and honey. Vanilla flavor is for customization, especially for the kids.

Yogurt is already there to make your drink thick and creamy. The frozen banana will do its bit as well. You can still add some ice to your blender to ensure the extra thickness of the smoothie.

Now take a high-speed blender. Put the Pineapples first and then a banana. Then add yogurt and milk to the mixture. Blend it for a while. Open the blender and stir the drink. Make sure fruits are well mixed and no chunk is left. Once done, add honey or sugar, based on your taste and choice. Add ice at this stage if you want. Finally, switch on the blender for one last time. The Pineapple smoothie is ready for your consumption!

Add ons:

Like any other smoothies, you can add other fruits of your choice to this drink. As this can be used as a good breakfast snack, one can add rolled oats, flaxseed, chia seeds, coconut milk, protein powder etc. These add-ons make your drink a filling breakfast. You can preserve and carry this to your office the next day as an easy, handy, less time-consuming meal.
