About Rogue Company
Rogue Company is a free-to-play multiplayer third-person shooter game. It was released in October 2020, developed by First Watch Games then published by Hi-Rez Studios. This game includes various maps, involving players forming teams to compete in various player-vs-player games. Also, players are free to choose characters, containing different abilities and unique characters, called as Rogues. In addition, the game contains various skin, emotes, and cosmetic items that players can purchase.
Current Controversy
Rogue company has removed all cosmetics including emotes and weapons of Dr. Disrespect Beahm in the game following streamers’ admission that he was banned in 2020 from the twitch for having inappropriate conversation with a minor. There has been a huge controversy going on, on the removal of Dr.Disrespect cosmetics. The players are showing rage across various media platforms.
According to a tweet, “@RogueCompany appreciate yall taking away the ability to use my @DrDisrespect skin that was $40 I paid for” said by a player
“no excuses or reasons to revoke access to something I paid for” the player added.
Another player replied that “ Rogue company was right to remove the skin but that doesn’t mean players have previously paid for”
The company has promised to refund the money but only in the form of Rogue bucks, the currency for shooters that hasn’t been updated in years.
Conclusion
Rogue game removed all the cosmetics of Dr Disrespect and decided to pay back but players are showing frustration ,players are not angry because they removed cosmetics but because they are paying back on Rogue bucks, that will be useless for them. Some players are called it as a “Dead game”
