The Stepford wives

This movie is based on the novel by Ira Levin, made and released in two parts: originally in 1975 and then a remake in 2004. This movie mainly deals with feminism, unchecked use of AI, and freedom. The movie revolves around the protagonist Joanna Eberhart who soon gets to know about her husband’s other wives. His wife’s peculiar behavior revealed that they are robots, not humans which are designed perfectly to suffice his needs.

Smart House

A family-friendly movie, based on the idea of an AI-controlled home. It is a Disney-based movie that was released in 1999. Smart House is PAT won by the Cooper family in a contest that makes their lives easy by doing chores, entertainment, and security but soon it starts to take control over everything. Eventually, the Cooper family tries to find the solution, reprograms PAT, and restores peace.

I, Robot

It is a 2004 epic that is praised for its thought-provoking exploration in the field of AI and robots directed by Alex Proyas. This movie is in the year 2035, where robots are designed to serve humanity in every way possible but should follow the 3 rules designed to save humanity from them. Soon the  protagonist Detective Del Spooner reveals the biggest conspiracy of robots against humans and tries to restore order.

“Her” a movie that aired in 2013 is a romantic movie that revolves around a protagonist Theodore Twombly and a robot named Samantha. This Movie explores the themes of love, affection, loneliness, and human connection with a robot.

Ex Machina

Another fantastic movie released in the year 2014 explores the theme of humanity, ethics, and how AI can mimic human emotions and behavior. Caleb, a protagonist, interacts with a robot Ava designed by a person named Nathan. This movie examines the complex relationship between robots and humans.
