The trailer for the new SpongeBob SquarePants movie has just released where everyone’s favourite Keanu Reeves has a cameo.
Yes, you read it right!
What an amazing year is going on for the John Wick actor, Reeves was seen appears in the clip as a wise sage, rather his head appears who is seen to be surrounded by literal sage.
“I’m made out of sage and I am a sage, so it works out pretty well,” he said.
The 3D animated movie, named Sponge on the Run, can be seen SpongeBob and Patrick set out on an adventure to The Lost City of Atlantic City to find Gary after their beloved pet snail is ‘snail-napped’.
Along with Keanu Reeves, Awkwafina has also lent the voice for the movie. The last SpongeBob movie – named Sponge Out of Water – released earlier in 2015 and it was also in 3D. The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run is all set to release in 2020.
Meanwhile, last year news came that the TV show was subject to rumours that the movie had been cancelled after a screenshot of a tweet got viral on the social media which allegedly came from the official account. However, this turned out to be a hoax later and the culprit of the tweet eventually came forward too.
