When The Matrix had released in 1999, it made a revolution with the way sci-fi films were seen and it turned out to be a great movie. Although the trilogy has ended perfectly, the makers thought to do another one of this franchise and so, the news of Matrix 4 was announced over a month ago.
Not only the famous actor Keanu Reeves but also Carrie-Anne Moss will be there to essay the role of Neo’s love interest too. Now, the fans get to know that Aquaman fame Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is also joining the rest of the cast of the next instalment of the Matrix franchise.
What role will he portray? Well, the news hasn’t been confirmed yet, but it said that young Morpheus which was played by Laurence Fishburne in the previous three films will be part of the movie as well. Only time can tell whether Yahya Abdul-Mateen II play that role or not.
Even the plot details of the movie also have been kept under wraps. What is known till now is that Lana Wachowski, one half of the Wachowskis who earlier directed all the three films in the franchise with sister Lilly, will write and helm the new movie as well.
The massive hit Matrix trilogy collectively earned over USD 1.6 billion around the world.
