MrBeast becomes the first YouTuber to touch 300 million subscribers

Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson became the first YouTuber to reach 300 million subscribers, barely over a month after surpassing Indian music label behemoth T-Series to become the platform’s most-subscribed channel on July 10, 2024.

Since surpassing Swedish YouTuber PewDiePie for the 200 million mark, T-Series faced a new challenger when on June 1, MrBeast emerged victorious, securing his position as the most-subscribed YouTube channel.

In an impressive body of work consisting of nearly 800 videos, MrBeast has undeniably carved out a prominent reputation for himself by orchestrating grandiose spectacles that capture the attention of millions.

From his audacious gestures of generosity, such as giving away private islands, to his daring feats like being buried alive, and even creating a real-life rendition of the wildly popular show “Squid Game” on Netflix, MrBeast continues to push boundaries and captivate audiences worldwide.

Moreover, in a recent social media statement, MrBeast proudly proclaimed that he had achieved a significant milestone by surpassing T-Series’ monumental 266 million subscriber count, while also celebrating the notion of avenging fellow YouTube sensation PewDiePie.

Since that notable achievement, MrBeast’s subscriber count has shown no signs of slowing down, continuing to soar at an impressive rate.

This shift in YouTube’s subscriber rankings has marked a significant moment in the platform’s history, as the competition for the top spot remains intense and dynamic.

Donaldson, a prominent figure in the online community, recently made an interesting post on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. In his post, he shared a screenshot reflecting on his follower count, revealing that he vividly recalled reaching a milestone of 300 subscribers over a decade ago. His lighthearted remark, “I remember freaking out when I hit 300 subscribers 11 years ago.. lol,” showcases his humble perspective on his journey over the years.

MrBeast has multiple channels for different contents

In addition to his main channel, he boasts several other platforms that cater to different content categories such as gaming, philanthropy, and reaction videos.

Each of these channels has managed to amass an impressive following with subscriptions reaching into the tens of millions.

MrBeast running for US Presidency?

Before achieving the 300 million milestone, MrBeast made headlines when he declared he would run for president of the United States provided they “lowered the age to run.”

“If we lower the age to run for president I’ll jump in the race,” he posted.

He also added “If I were president I wouldn’t care about party lines, I’d just always truly make the American people my #1 priority. For problems I’m ignorant in I’d have experts from the left and right advise me on them and try to find the middle ground that’s best for America.
