The 2025 Rainbow Six Siege season is set to bring exciting developments for the esports community, with Ubisoft announcing 18 of the 20 teams selected to join the R6 Share programme.

Among the confirmed teams are prominent organizations such as Fnatic, FaZe Clan, G2 Esports, FURIA, Team Falcons, and Spacestation Gaming. These teams were carefully chosen through a detailed selection process, with Ubisoft emphasizing the balance between established giants and rising stars in the competitive scene.

As the Six Invitational approaches in February 2025, the final two partner teams will be revealed, adding to the anticipation. This marks a new chapter for Rainbow Six esports, with new in-game items and a revamped competitive format on the horizon.

R6 Share Programme: Empowering Established and Rising Teams

Ubisoft revealed that 20 teams will participate in the R6 Share programme for the 2025 Rainbow Six Siege season. As of now, Ubisoft announced 18 teams, including familiar names: Fnatic, FaZe Clan, G2 Esports, FURIA, Team Falcons, and Spacestation Gaming.

The final two teams will be announced at the Six Invitational in Boston from February 3rd to 16th, 2025. The selection process was described as “detailed,” aiming to create a diverse list of “established organisations and rising stars.”

Apart from team-branded items, Ubisoft is launching new categories of in-game items. These include operator portraits, drone skins, and pro-team charms, allowing fans to further personalize their gameplay with their favorite teams.

The full list of the announced partner teams includes CAG Osaka, DarkZero Esports, Fnatic, FaZe Clan, G2 Esports, and many more. This will further engage the Rainbow Six Siege community with a higher level of personalized content.

Expand the esports support with affiliates and revenue sharing

In addition to the R6 Share program, Ubisoft is launching an esports affiliate program that will provide more extensive support across regions, including Europe, the Americas, and APAC.

The affiliate program will include 23 affiliate teams, each being offered a portion of revenue from pro-team bundles and esports sales.

Ubisoft sees it as a chance to make the esports ecosystem more sustainable and fair by ensuring “strength and stability of the leagues around the world.”

Through the R6 Share system, Ubisoft will contribute a percentage of all esports bundle sales towards a fund that’s divided among affiliate teams. This is done to support teams and drive continued growth in the competitive Rainbow Six Siege scene.

The R6 Share program has, since its launch in 2020, been supporting esports teams. Affiliate teams are a new addition, which in turn supports more organizations through these systems.
