In a bold move to reshape the landscape of competitive esports, popular streamer and former professional League of Legends player, Caedrel, has unveiled his new project, Los Ratones.

The team features a star-studded roster that includes veteran talents like Tim ‘Nemesis’ Lipovšek, beloved creators such as Simon ‘Thebausffs’ Hofverberg, and former world champion Carl Martin Erik ‘Rekkles’ Larsson. In addition to assembling this powerhouse lineup, Caedrel will take on the role of coach.

This announcement comes alongside a revealing YouTube video where Caedrel shared his thought process in forming the team, his aspirations for creating an entertaining and competitive squad, and his innovative approach to making team practices more accessible to fans.

Veteran Talent and Ambitious Coaching Plans

The team has a very strong roaster with veteran talents known to the wider community, including in-game known vet talent Tim ‘Nemesis’ Lipovšek, well-known content creators and streamers like Simon ‘Thebausffs’ Hofverberg, and the world champion Carl Martin Erik ‘Rekkles’ Larsson. Not only will Caedrel complete this line-up but also join his team as a coach, bringing solid experience.

The ambitions of Caedrel for the team are obvious: make it both competitive and entertaining. Success in the league is just as important, but so is captivating the audience with a dynamic that brings a smile to their faces.

“I didn’t want to build a five-man roster with three former players trying to win the league or five content creators who probably wouldn’t win a game,” Caedrel explains with a balance of competitiveness and entertainment on his mind.

Streaming Scrims and Team Transparency

Caedrel wishes for most of the team’s practices and scrims to be open to the public with overviews of their matches and feedback sessions.

The openness is for the fans to get an inside view into how the team develops. However, this is not open to the general public because Caedrel also realizes that some teams might not want to see their scrims streamed.

However, the openness of the plan is in direct contrast to most other esports practices because teams generally limit internal discussions.

Some aspects will be open, but Caedrel acknowledges that it is complicated: “Not everything will be public-facing,” respecting the fact that others may not have any interest in knowing about it.
