By introducing Metafy Courses, a program intended to give customers experiences through digital content, esports and gaming coaching platform Metafy has further broadened its product line.

Metafy has revealed a range of courses that are already for sale and are intended to produce in-depth digital content from gaming specialists. Players like former 100Thieves Coach Michael “Mikes” Hockom (VALORANT), Magic: The Gathering’s Seth Manfield, and Super Smash Brothers Ultimate’s Gavin “Tweek” Dempsey are among those who develop some of the Metafy Courses; new ones are added every week.

Key Features of the New Courses Product

Metafy’s new product will feature player collaborations in addition to solo classes. Yu-Gi-Oh players N3sh, PAKTcg, and World Champion Ruben Penaranda created a two-hour masterclass session as one example given by Metafy.

A release claims that every course offers tutorials, learning modules, or unique content catered to particular games or abilities. The courses presently cost between $3 and $100, but since the authors control the prices, this could change, Metafy informed Esports Insider.

Monetization Opportunities for Creators

In addition to giving fans other educational options, Metafy Courses wants to improve its services for coaches and producers by giving them another way to make money off of their abilities. Consequently, Metafy’s new product will complement its existing offerings, which include classes, groups, and coaching sessions.

In honor of the product launch, Metafy declared that it will be hosting a contest for the entire month of October. The creators who sell the most courses will receive cash awards from the competition.

Over the course of October, Metafy’s month-long competition will provide $15,000 (around £11,470) in prizes, divided into four weekly competitions. To be eligible for the competition, a course must cost at least $10 (£7.63), according to Metafy.

By transforming from a teaching platform into a marketplace for game producers to interact with their audiences, Metafy Courses’ launch further strengthens the company’s position in esport and gaming. During this shift, a number of new digital goods were introduced in August, with its Metafy Groups offering serving as the main attraction.

The Future of Learning on Metafy

As part of this upgrade, known as Metafy 2.0, a new free tier for creators was introduced. The tier, known as Metafy Core, charges Core members 8% of their revenue rather than a fixed monthly price. According to Metafy, this functionality is designed for smaller artists who want to use its other products, sell courses, and offer coaching without having to invest up front.

Since its 2020 launch, Metafy has been providing esport and gaming coaching services to users in a number of titles, such as League of Legends, Rocket League, and VALORANT. The business runs a content creator-focused agency called Sumo in addition to its coaching marketplace platform.

Josh Fabian, CEO of Metafy, said of the new product offerings: “Metafy 2.0 is designed to help creators escape the mediocrity trap by turning passion into profit.”

He continued saying, “With the help of our new Courses and Core model, creators can now make money off of their talents without having to worry about paying exorbitant fees, allowing them to concentrate on their passions and create long-lasting companies. We facilitate the success of specialized specialists in their communities rather than merely acting as an aggregator.
