More than 200 developers at Bethesda Game Studios have formed a wall-to-wall union linked with the Communications Workers of America. The Workers including 241 developers, artists, engineers, programmers, and designers signed a union authorization card or indicated that they wanted representatives via an online portal and were recognized by Microsoft.
“Together as One BGS USA, we advocate for the betterment of every developer at BGS, setting the new standard for our industry,” said the Union on Twitter.
What is Bethesda Game Studio?
As the name suggests it is a video game developer and a studio of ZeniMax Media based in Rockville, Maryland. The studio includes executive producer Todd Howard, managing director Ashley Cheng, and studio director Angela Browder. It was established in 2001 as the development unit of Bethesda Softworks and a developer & publisher under a subsidiary of ZeniMax Media. Bethesda is best known for its franchises, The Elder Scrolls, Fallout, and Starfield.
Since its establishment in 2008, Bethesda Game Studios was considered one the best top developers, starting with nearly 40 people till November 2023, he was able to have almost 450 employees.
