Pictures earlier had declared Shazam 2’s release date in April 2022, and now reports suggest actor Dwayne Johnson is gearing up to play Black Adam for the solo who will start shooting for the film in 2020! It’s been over a year since the film was announced but with Johnson’s work schedule, it has been really hard for the movie to hit the floors. However, according to recent reports, The Rock is optimistic about the new schedule whose Instagram post from January has suggested the current plan of Black Adam.
The Dawn of a New Age
He shared in a post on Jan 3, 2020, at 1:41 pm PST stating,
“So it begins. Kickin’ off 2020 training extremely hard for my upcoming role as BLACK ADAM. This one’s in my blood. Thanks to my guys @bosslogic @veliokulan for this badass animation. The hierarchy of power in the #DCUniverse is about to change. #NewEra #BlackAdam⚡ Shooting begins this summer.”
Getting closer to the facts: Shazam 2
Black Adam who was believed to be the villain of Shazam 2 is however not the truth. He is also set for a solo movie who will finally face off Shazam. Black Adam’s producer, Hiram Garcia, recently confirmed that the movie will go before cameras by the end of this year.
