The investigation into the tragic death of Liam Payne, a former One Direction member who fell from the balcony of his hotel room on 16th October at Casa Sur Hotel, has been intensified by the authorities in Buenos Aires. Police raids to gather details of the hotel staff present at the time of the incident and sweeping up of key evidence like security camera footage and guest registration records. Payne’s father, Geoff Payne, who is still in Argentina, cooperated with the investigators and expressed desires to know the circumstances surrounding his son’s sudden death.

Investigation at the Casa Sur Hotel

The authorities are conducting an in-depth investigation after househelp Liam Payne was reported dead at the Casa Sur Hotel in Buenos Aires. On October 23, police raided the hotel to gather information about employees who were on duty during the days leading up to the incident. Their main agenda is to identify personnel, who may have informed or related facts about Payne’s fall from the third floor of his apartment at Casa Sur on October 16.

Other demands in the inquiry are that the police be given permission to visit the hotel’s registration books and computer records to have a reconstruction of what took place in the days preceding the tragedy. The hotel has been asked to provide supplementary security tape recordings which might explain the timeline and action before Payne’s death.

Plea from the Family for Privacy Amid Grief

In the wake of Liam Payne’s demise, Liam’s father Geoff Payne demands an intensive inquiry into the circumstances that led to his son’s death. On 22 October, Geoff took some time out and met with prosecutor Dr. Andres Esteban Madrea to voice his concerns and whatever he might avail to the prosecution. The prosecuting agency has been sure enough to state that the need for privacy concerning the family in this difficult moment.

Investigator decided that Geoff Payne will continue to stay in Argentina under police protection as the investigation continues. This, according to him, is a decision taken considering the emotional condition of Payne following the loss of his son. The family stated in a statement, “Deeply heartbroken and in pain over this tragic loss, they appeal for privacy while searching for the strength to continue moving forward.”.
