‘One Tree Hill’ Star Paul Teal Passes Away at 35

Paul Teal, known for his role in One Tree Hill, has died at age 35. He died on November 15, 2024, after battling stage IV pancreatic cancer. His partner, Emilia Torello, revealed he was diagnosed just seven months prior. Teal’s death occurred in a Raleigh, North Carolina hospital.

Torello described Teal as an “inspiring, driven, and loving man.” She shared how his dedication and optimism gave hope for his recovery. “When he set his mind to something, there was no stopping him,” she said.

Teal’s illness didn’t stop him from pursuing his passion. He remained focused on filming his new Starz series, The Hunting Wives. The show is set to debut in 2025.

Heartfelt Tributes from Emilia Torello and co-stars

Emilia Torello, Teal’s fiancée, expressed her grief on Instagram. She called him her “soulmate” and shared a photo of the couple embracing. “You were my rock, my future, and my everything,” Torello wrote.

In the emotional post, she promised to honour his memory by finding joy in life. “You fought so bravely, and I will love you forever,” she said. Torello remembered his laughter, love, and unwavering strength during his battle.

Bethany Joy Lenz, Teal’s former One Tree Hill costar, also honoured him. She called him “kind, funny, and magnetic.” Lenz recalled his passion for acting and their time working together on set.

Teal first appeared in One Tree Hill in 2010, playing Josh, a memorable recurring character. His performances left a lasting impression on colleagues and fans.

Lenz reflected on their shared journey in a heartfelt slideshow. “He lit up every room he walked into,” she wrote. She also praised his dedication and generosity.

As fans mourn his loss, many remember Teal’s vibrant spirit. His ability to inspire and uplift others remains a significant part of his legacy.
