Megan Thee Stallion Channels Britney Spears at the 2024 MTV VMAs

At the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards, Megan Thee Stallion paid homage to an iconic pop culture moment by recreating Britney Spears’ famous 2001 performance with a real-life python.

As the host of the show, the 29-year-old rapper brought energy, humour, and bold fashion statements throughout the night.

However, her tribute to Spears, featuring a live snake, stole the spotlight.

During one of her outfit changes, Megan stepped on stage in a green bikini top paired with a teal skirt and metallic shorts, echoing Britney’s look from her legendary “I’m a Slave 4 U” performance.

To complete the tribute, she had a large yellow python wrapped around her neck.

While Spears handled the snake with ease back in 2001, Megan humorously expressed her discomfort, yelling, “Come get this snake!” as she nervously laughed and made the audience chuckle.

Megan’s Playful Nod to an Iconic Moment

Megan’s homage to Spears was not just about recreating the look; it was also about adding her unique, playful personality.

Instead of playing it cool, she embraced her fear of the snake, making the moment even more memorable for the audience.

“I don’t know this snake, and this snake doesn’t know me,” she joked, bringing a lighthearted vibe to the tribute.

A Night Full of Fashion and Fun

Aside from the snake moment, Megan dazzled the audience with multiple outfit changes throughout the night, including a stunning black gown on the red carpet.

Her role as host allowed her to showcase not only her fashion but also her sense of humour and stage presence, making her a highlight of the 2024 MTV VMAs.
