Then, Seth Meyers joined Hargitay on his expanding list of admirers by acknowledging that he had also wanted to portray a dead body on the show for a long time. “I desired to be lifeless. When I met all these Law & Order writers during the 2007–2008 writers strike, I was like, ‘I wanna do a cameo, but I just wanna be a dead body,'” he remembered. “Oh my God, we would love to have you on the show,” they exclaimed. However, I thought, “Well, but I’m already dead.”
When a part was eventually offered to him, he declined it because “I was like, ‘I don’t want lines, I just wanna be a dead person in the park.'”Then Hargitay made fun of the fact that a “big supermodel”—whom she did not identify but referred to as “one of the greats”—had just made the same absurd request that she gets all the time.
“I discovered that she cherished my program. So I went to the writers and said, “Oh my gosh, can she be on the show?” She said, “And I told you, ‘No, no, we have this great part for you,’ but she insisted that she wanted to be a dead body.” “I called her back and told her, ‘Hey, we got it.'” You will be featured on the show. “Oh no, I want to be a dead body,” she exclaims. Hargitay told Meyers, 50, in a lighthearted manner, “It happens all the time.” Why don’t these well-known individuals want lines?”
