Actress Lili Reinhart is shedding light on the emotional toll of living with acne as she launches her new skincare line, Personal Day.

Speaking at the launch party in West Hollywood, the Riverdale star candidly discussed how acne has impacted her confidence and mental health, calling it a “lonely” and “triggering” experience.

With her brand, co-founded alongside Shelagh Wong, Reinhart aims to create a safe space for open conversations about skin struggles while offering a line of acne care products crafted with luxury ingredients and backed by experts in skincare and mental health.

Admitting that not so many celebrities are open about their struggles with it, Reinhart described it as an isolating experience. She hopes by sharing her story that she will be able to make others in their skin journey feel less alone than she did.

According to Reinhart, acne is not something wrong that has to be changed but something that characterizes the lives of many.

She has aimed at making today’s society talk about acceptance and tolerance for all young people who have to face the same situation by going through the emotional and mental pressure acne can take.

Personal Day: Skin care with a purpose

Reinhart’s Personal Day new skincare line was born from her having had some treatments, including Accutane, for her acne but she still felt the existing products didn’t do what they said; from here came a brand that combines effective acne care with clean, trustworthy ingredients-the products were designed not to cure but to heal, therefore reflecting her philosophy of self-acceptance.

Not only a skincare company but a company that does more towards public awareness of mental health as well.

They have a team of experts who feature someone who specializes in mental health, so you can really speak to the mental impairment your skin is doing to self-esteem. Reinhart hopes Personal Day will empower folks to embrace their skin and feel supported within a more inclusive and understanding world.
