For the first time, Kristin Cavallari talks about ex-husband Jay Cutler’s recent DUI arrest. This week, on the latest episode of her podcast, Let’s Be Honest, Cavallari alluded to the incident that took place last week in Franklin, Tennessee. She had begun the episode by reminding her listeners that she had recorded this before the “very public incident” involving her ex.

While Cavallari refused to make any further comments, she stated, “I want nothing but the best for him. I hope he gets the help he needs.” In the end, she concluded that this was going to be her only public comment on the subject.

Jay Cutler Arrested for DUI and Possession of Handgun

Jay Cutler was arrested last week after a minor car accident. The police who arrived at the scene realized that he might have been intoxicated. According to the arrest report, Cutler appeared intoxicated, had slurred speech and smelled of alcohol. The former NFL player refused to take an impaired driving test, so police took him to the hospital. There, they took  blood samples after obtaining research permission.

Cutler was not  charged with driving while intoxicated, nor with possession of a firearm while intoxicated. Police found two guns  in his car, one of which was loaded. He was released from jail after posting $5,000 bail.

Further Legal Troubles Await Jay Cutler

In addition to the DUI and possession of a handgun charges, Cutler has further violations to contend with. He was alleged for allegedly failing to take due care in avoiding the accident and also for contravening implied consent by refusing to take a sobriety test. According to the arrest affidavit, another accusation against Cutler was that he tried to bribe the other driver in the accident by offering them $2000 to not file for the police.

Cutler is anticipated to return to court come January in the year 2025 to answer the charges. As the wheels of justice turn, the media has not stopped drawing attention to his short lived and public ejection from grace
