As Miles Teller and his wife Keleigh celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary, he received quite the surprise! On Monday, August 26, Keleigh, 31, announced that she had proposed to commemorate five years since she and Miles, 37, were joined in marriage on September 1, 2019 in a secret ceremony on Maui, Hawaii.

In a video amidst a whirlwind of photos and videos on Instagram, Miles was shown looking shocked as Keleigh proposed while clutching a jewelry box. The actress seemed to plead, “Will you accept the key to my heart?” “What is going on?” the Top Gun:Maverick actor kept asking Keleigh and her companions, “What is this?” when a boat driver arrived in the backdrop of the video.
Before Miles gave his bride a hug and kiss, Keleigh had just proposed, as individuals described to the camera. “Do you say yes?” a buddy asked from behind the scenes. “I bought you a boat!” When the boat came up in front of the property they were at, Keleigh told her astonished husband.”This is crazy,” Miles said, clutching a glass, while “Danger Zone,” by Kenny Loggins from the movie Top Gun, played in the background.
The social media star captioned the photo, thanking everyone who helped make the surprise possible. “An early 5 year wedding anniversary surprise, Miles always said it’s not fair men don’t get proposed to so cheesed out and did it for him with his dream boat,” the post said.

Another image featured the couple sharing a kiss on the boat with a “Happy 5th Anniversary” banner hanging over the side. In a different video, Miles was seen grinning and inspecting his gift. The Divergent star, who accessorized his look with a captain’s hat, covered his lips with his hands in a subsequent photo before posing on the boat with his arms outstretched in another adorable picture, and cuddling up to Keleigh in more adorable pictures while friends took a boat trip.In another video, Miles celebrated with friends by popping a bottle of champagne over the sea, and they ended the day with a supper under the sunset.
Before Miles proposed on an African safari in August 2017, the two had first met at a Grammy Awards afterparty in 2013. In an interview that was published in October 2017, Miles told PEOPLE about taking Keleigh to a tree where there was a rose and a note with the words, “May 11th, 2013-August 20th, 2017.” He got down on one knee and said, “This was the first day that I asked you to be my girlfriend, and today was the last day you woke up as my girlfriend.” Miles disclosed to PEOPLE He had “just clicked” with his companion from their first meeting. “I told my buddy, ‘I think I’m going to be with this girl for a long time,'” he said.
