In a recent concert during his “Forget Tomorrow World Tour,” Justin Timberlake found himself in a lighthearted yet relatable situation when a front-row fan became so engrossed in her phone that she missed his attempt to serenade her. The incident, which has since gone viral, highlights the challenges of modern concert experiences where distractions can overshadow live performances.

The Concert Incident

One fan in the front row of the 43-year-old “SexyBack” singer’s recent Forget Tomorrow World Tour stop at the Bell Centre in Montreal on October 4 missed Timberlake’s attempt to gain her attention because she was preoccupied with her phone, according to a widely shared TikTok video.

As Timberlake came close to the edge of the platform, surrounded by a throng of ecstatic fans and one woman with her head deep in her phone, he was playing “Flame” off his most recent album, Everything I Thought It Was.

Another woman prodded the *NSYNC member to urge her to glance up after she leaned down to stare at the unaware concertgoer for a few seconds. After a while, she turned to face Timberlake, who began to move away as she unsuccessfully extended out to touch him.

Shoutout to his wife

In honor of their 12th wedding anniversary, Timberlake also gave his wife, Jessica Biel, a special shoutout during the Montreal performance.

The next day, he posted a recap video of the moment to Instagram. He said, “It’s also a very special evening for me,” as Biel got up to observe him from the arena’s side. “This evening, my wife is here. We are celebrating our twelfth anniversary tonight.

“So be nice to her, Montreal, because she’s sharing me with all of you guys tonight,” Timberlake jokingly said, placing his hand on his heart and looking at Biel. “I love you, baby.”

Adding a kissy-heart emoji, the Grammy winner’s wife posted his video to her Instagram Stories writing, “Wouldn’t want to spend it anywhere else ❤️.”
