Mulaney entered rehab in December 2020 for cocaine and alcohol. He shared how he felt unable to perform without drugs.
“There was a time when I could not fly, sleep, or perform unless I had Klonopin,” he confessed. His words highlight addiction’s grip, even on successful people.
Mulaney recalled one night of heavy drug use. Afterward, he thought he would die. Yet, just days later, he relapsed. This cycle is all too common in addiction recovery.
Olivia Munn’s Unwavering Support and Intervention Efforts
Throughout Mulaney’s recovery, Olivia Munn became a crucial support. The couple married in July, shortly after Mulaney’s rehab stint. Munn, who was pregnant at the time, staged an intervention. She encouraged Mulaney to take accountability and agreed to random drug tests.
Mulaney expressed gratitude for Munn’s support. “It’s like a relief,” he said. He added that having Munn involved gave him confidence. Knowing she was by his side strengthened his recovery.
