In a lighthearted moment on the “New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce” podcast, NFL star Jason Kelce expressed his fondness for actress Blake Lively, who is best known for her role in “Gossip Girl” and her close friendship with Taylor Swift. During the episode released on October 9, 2024, the Kelce brothers discussed fan-voted movie selections, leading to a humorous exchange about Lively and her film “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants.” This playful banter not only showcased their personalities but also highlighted the intertwined lives of celebrities in today’s media landscape.

The Podcast Exchange: A Lighthearted Discussion

Travis, 35, praised his girlfriend Taylor Swift’s close friend Lively, 37, during the Wednesday, October 9 episode of the New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce podcast. This came after fans voted for him and Jason, 36, to see Taylor Swift’s 2005 film The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants in a New Heights film club poll.

“The winner by a huge margin, of course, is Sisterhood for the Traveling Pants, or whatever,” Jason, 36, declared. “Say it right, Jason,” Travis said, adding, “Dude, you are gonna love this movie.”

“A movie about pants and sisterhood — two of my least favorite things,” Jason joked. “…I mean, I got a bunch of daughters. I guess I’m warming up to sisterhood.”

The Connection Between Taylor Swift and Blake Lively

Jason stated that he thought Swifties had rigged the movie poll to favor Lively’s flick. Jason replied, “All I know is that Jake threw a bunch of other movies that he knew would divide votes so that the Swifties could just freaking dominate the poll with such other traffic.” “Spaceballs, Goonies and Necessary Roughness all took each other’s votes.”

The NFL player and singer of “I Can Do It with a Broken Heart” was photographed in Rhode Island on August 24. Lively and Reynolds, 47, later joined them, and after Swift’s Eras Tour’s European leg ended, Jason, Kylie, 32, Bradley Cooper, and his 7-year-old daughter Lea were also seen in the area.

Days after the athlete’s 35th birthday, on October 7, Swift showed up to cheer Travis on as the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the New Orleans Saints in Kansas City, Missouri.

The pair posed backstage at the stadium with friends and family, including comedian Andrew Santino, who captured the encounter on camera and shared the images on social media.
