Philadelphia Eagles star NFL center Jason Kelce took some time away from the gridiron to attend Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour with his wife Kylie Kelce and their two eldest daughters, Wyatt, 4, and Ellie, 3 in Miami on October 18. It’s a night made great memories for the Kelce family. Jason’s mum, Donna Kelce, was also part of the group as well as his former Philadelphia Eagles teammate, Beau Allen, all of whom enjoyed a private suite view of the concert. Swift, who’s currently dating Jason’s brother, Travis Kelce, certainly had the family on their feet — even if Jason needed a brief “rest.”
Beau Allen humorously captured Jason in “peak dad mode” during the concert:. A photograph posted on Instagram shows Jason sitting with closed eyes, leaving fans wondering if that was a quick nap in the middle of the performance. Allen, bringing in lyrics from Swift’s “Anti-Hero,” joked sometimes she feels like everybody’s a sexy baby and she is a monster in a hill, apparently taking a quiet minute for herself during the show. Despite the picture, Jason was alert enough to enjoy most of the show, even singing the favorite song of his daughter Ellie, joining in at one point to sing.
A Family Affair at Taylor Swift’s Miami Show
It wasn’t the first Swift concert for Jason and Kylie Kelce. Earlier this year, the couple joined Travis Kelce for two shows in London, becoming seasoned Swifties themselves. The Miami concert, however, was the first Eras Tour experience for Wyatt and Ellie, and the girls’ excitement was palpable. Jason, the loving father, told us that his daughter Ellie couldn’t get enough of that song by Swift “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” that was one of the more memorable moments of the evening.
Jason’s little “sleeping” times (as he called them) made everyone laugh but when he was awake he was really into the music. The fan camera shots of Jason chugging a beer in the box, and then standing up and singing along. It is obvious that this family trip was a special one, with the same sort of force that Swift’s Eras Tour has swept the globe with.
Jason Kelce’s Take on Taylor Swift’s Performance
After the concert, Jason Kelce expressed his appreciation for Swift’s performance skills on New Heights, the podcast he hosts with his brother Travis. “It blew me away,” Jason raved in a previous show pointing out Swift’s unmatched endurance as a performer. He joked, “If I did what she did for one song, I’d need to change my clothes!” Jason, who has seen both Bruce Springsteen and Swift in concert, thinks the Eras Tour ranks among the most exciting shows he’s been to.
Jason also talked about how the concert moved him when a fan got Swift’s famous fedora during her “22” performance. “I’ve never shed a tear at a concert, but watching those young girls, I got choked up,” Jason admitted. For the Kelce family, the Miami stop of the Eras Tour meant more than just a show—it became a special time to connect and a treasured memory.
