On October 3, McElhenney took to social media to share photos from the set, featuring himself alongside co-stars Charlie Day and Quinta Brunson. In one Instagram post, he playfully captioned a photo, “Oh. Hello,” while sporting sunglasses and flashing a peace sign. A larger group photo showcased the stars from both shows, including Danny DeVito and Tyler James Williams, all gathered near the doors of the fictional Willard R. Abbott Public School.
This revelation follows previous hints dropped by both McElhenney and Brunson about a possible collaboration. McElhenney had suggested that a crossover made sense, given both shows are set in Philadelphia. “It’s in The City of Brotherly Love,” he noted, implying the thematic connections between the two series. Brunson also teased the crossover during a Comic-Con appearance in July, stating, “We will be doing an interesting crossover this season… but I’m not going to tell you with who or with what or where or when or how.”
