The sisters also touched upon the controversial kiss scene in “Pretty Baby,” where Brooke, then just 11 years old, shared an on-screen kiss with a 29-year-old Keith Carradine.
Grier described it as “weird,” while Rowan added, “Your stage kiss does not count as a real kiss.”
Brooke Shields, who has since reflected on this moment in her recent documentary, shared that Carradine tried to reassure her by saying it didn’t count as a real kiss, a sentiment she appreciated but now sees differently in the light of modern perspectives on child actors’ safety.
