Davina McCall Reveals She Was Diagnosed with Rare Brain Tumor
Davina McCall, the host of ‘Long Lost Family’, posted a heartfelt video on Instagram where she revealed that she had been diagnosed with a colloid cyst-a benign brain tumor which occurs in only three people in a million.
It was discovered when she went to get a routine health scan for a talk about the menopause for which she had registered. Davina admitted that she thought she would get through the talk without a hitch.
McCall further reported that the tumor was approximately 14mm in size, coupled with large spaces in her brain’s third ventricle; therefore, she required a craniotomy for its surgical removal. Seeking opinion from several neurosurgeons made her decide to go for the surgery without regrets.
Support and Optimism Amid Recovery
Her video feature included her partner, Michael Douglas, who gave the fans confidence that her medical team was good enough, stating he would inform them of her recovery.
He also made the doctor’s process lighter by making jokes about keeping her hairstyle intact during the entire procedure and assuring her followers that she was in good hands.
The popular TV host, known for her resilience and having a lot of positive energy, reassured her fans that she was in good spirits, and had faith in her surgeon.
Even though she planned to remain offline during her recovery, McCall made sure to emphasize that she didn’t want her fans to worry by showing gratitude for their support and prayers.
