Bozoma Saint John, known for her vibrant personality and impressive career, recently reminisced about attending the opulent wedding of Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas. Describing the event as a “weekend of incredible luxury,” she reflected on the grandeur and emotional moments that defined the celebration. The wedding, which took place in December 2018, was a multi-day affair that beautifully blended Indian and Western traditions, showcasing the couple’s diverse backgrounds and love story.
A Multi-Day Extravaganza
The wedding festivities spanned several days, featuring a series of events that included traditional ceremonies, lavish parties, and intimate gatherings. Guests were treated to an array of experiences, from the colorful mehndi ceremony to the elegant receptions. Bozoma highlighted how each event was meticulously planned to celebrate the couple’s unique heritage.
“Oh, my gosh … it was so lovely,” Saint John recalled. “They created an atmosphere of very close friends and family who were treated to a weekend of incredible luxury at a palace that was left all to us. So, I mean, I had the best time.”
Held at the luxurious Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, the wedding venue itself was a sight to behold. Bozoma recalled the breathtaking decor that transformed the palace into a fairy-tale setting, complete with intricate floral arrangements and opulent lighting. The grandeur of the venue added to the overall atmosphere of celebration and romance.
Memorable Moments with Priyanka Chopra
Saint John also talked about her friendship with Chopra, 42, whom she first met while managing music and entertainment marketing for PepsiCo. Saint John recently joined the cast of RHOBH for the upcoming 14th season of the Bravo reality show.
“We were working on X Factor and I met her in Los Angeles and we just clicked immediately,” Saint John told PEOPLE, before sharing what she admires about the Citadel star. “Priyanka is someone who’s unafraid of evolution, starting a new path, figuring out new ways to be and new ways to have artistry — and I love people like that.”
On December 2, the newlyweds returned to the palace for a second marriage ceremony in accordance with Hindu customs. They then had a sumptuous banquet in New Delhi on the Tuesday after their wedding weekend. Chopra’s mother threw a second celebration in Mumbai two weeks later, and they rejoiced once again.
