On July 13, Lively, 36, posted an Instagram Story featuring movie posters for her upcoming romantic drama It Ends with Usand Reynolds’ highly anticipated Deadpool & Wolverine.
The posters were displayed side by side in an unidentified movie theater, humorously captioned “Family portrait.” Lively tagged both film’s Instagram accounts and author Colleen Hoover, who took the photo.
Lively’s Role in ‘It Ends with Us’
Lively’s new film *It Ends with Us* is set to hit theaters on August 9. The actress stars as Lily Bloom, a woman who embarks on a tumultuous relationship with Ryle, played by Justin Baldoni. As the relationship becomes abusive, Lily reconnects with her former love, Atlas, portrayed by Brandon Sklenar and Alex Neustaedter in flashbacks.
Lively expressed her deep connection to the character, stating, “Stepping into a character who’s had such a meaningful impact is an honor to take on. And I hope that love is felt by those who care about her like I do.”
Reynolds’ Excitement for ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’
Ryan Reynolds, 47, also shared his excitement for his latest project. *Deadpool & Wolverine* is set to premiere on July 26. Reynolds has kept much of the film’s details under wraps but shared his enthusiasm for working alongside Hugh Jackman and imparting important life lessons to his children.
He emphasized the importance of showing his kids the reality of setbacks, saying, “You don’t get what you want all the time. It’s important that [your kids] see that and they don’t just hear, ‘Oh Dad nailed it.’ Because you lose so much more than you win.”
