Barbara Palvin knows exactly what she wants this Christmas. At the Revolve Holiday Shop event in Los Angeles, the model shared her dream gift from her husband, Dylan Sprouse.
Barbara Palvin’s Perfect Christmas Gift Idea
“My ideal gift is for him to build a whole room with storage for all my holiday decorations,” Palvin, 31, told PEOPLE.
Palvin explained her love for celebrating holidays. She shared how she just put away her Halloween decorations and is now unpacking Christmas items. “It’s like 10 big boxes for Halloween. Now I’m pulling out Christmas stuff,” she said. Palvin also admitted, “I just love every holiday.”
However, Sprouse, 32, added a humorous twist. “We don’t have any storage left in the house,” he admitted. Despite the lack of space, Palvin’s enthusiasm for themed celebrations remains undeterred.
Embracing New Traditions Together
For Palvin, Thanksgiving is a relatively new tradition. Born in Budapest, Hungary, the holiday wasn’t part of her upbringing. Sprouse shared, “Thanksgiving is new for her.” However, Palvin embraced it wholeheartedly. “It’s another reason for me to decorate,” she admitted enthusiastically.
The couple tied the knot in July 2023. Since then, they’ve shared traditions from both of their cultures. Palvin reminisced about Hungary’s unique Christmas traditions. “In Hungary, Saint Nicholas Day is on December 4th. Santa leaves toys in the window and shoes,” she explained.
Despite living in Los Angeles, Palvin remains connected to her roots. Sharing customs with her husband helps her recreate the magic of her childhood holidays.
Cherished Memories and Family Traditions
Holidays also bring nostalgia for Palvin. However, being far from her family in Hungary makes this time bittersweet. “It’s always a difficult time because we’re here,” she shared. Luckily, her sister, Anita, also lives in Los Angeles, bringing a touch of home closer.
Looking back, Palvin recalled a unique tradition from her childhood. “Every four years, we had to hand-make gifts. No money, just craft and DIY,” she said. She fondly remembered her dad’s creations. “He collected chestnuts and sticks, glueing them into little figures,” she shared.
Palvin’s love for holiday decorating and her rich family traditions blend beautifully. Her passion for celebrations, old and new, continues to grow.
