The famous star Britney Spears wants her conservatorship will end soon who has been feeling “Overprotected” under this over a decade, which has recently extended on Aug. 19 to Feb. 1, 2021, as well.
Meanwhile, a source close to the famous star revealed to PEOPLE on Friday, “Britney still wants the conservatorship to end at some point. But more urgently right now she doesn’t want her dad to regain the sole conservator role.”
While she has been in the news for this for quite sometimes now, last week, a court filing has said that Britney has opposed to having her father, Jamie to continue the role again. Notably, he has stepped down from the role last year due to health issues.

The source further added that Jamie is very old school and he treats the star as a child still.
It was in 2008 when Britney Spears first came under the conservatorship after her several public mental breakdowns. And, since then, it has been going around that she is not capable enough to take any decision about her finances, health care and other things which have been looking after by her father so far.
Britney Spears chooses Jodi Montgomery over Jamie
On the other hand, she wants Jodi Montgomery instead of Jamie. Jodi is the licensed conservator who took over the responsibility in September.
The source revealed, “Britney wants someone who is respectful and considerate to be in charge of her conservatorship. Someone from the outside who is not her family. Someone who will treat her like an adult and listen to her. She will never have this relationship with Jamie.”
Britney Spears Opposed to her Father Returning as the Sole Conservator
Last year also the sour relationship between the father and daughter came in the limelight after her ex-husband Kevin Federline accused Jamie Spears of abusing their 14-year-old son Sean Preston physically after an alleged altercation.
The source further added that she has dreamt about the conservatorship to end soon but this seems unrealistic as she needs people who could look out for her as well.
