What has been the last movie which starred Brad Pitt in a lead role? If we take a look back at the last year, titles like Ad Astra and Once Upon a Time In Hollywood come to our mind. Now, there is good news for all Pitt fans out there! Going by the reports of The Hollywood Reporter, the star will be seen in an action-thriller, namely ‘Bullet Train’ to be produced by Sony studios. The film will be directed by David Leitch where the actor would play the role of an American hitman under the name of Ladybug.
Etching a different milestone
The movie would draw its inspiration from Kotaro Isaka’s book Maria Beetle that depicts “a group of hitmen and assassins with conflicting motives” caught up in a bullet train travelling to Tokyo. The screenwriter of Fear Street, Zak Olkewicz would be responsible to pen the story, while the movie would start its cinematography in 2020. However, the only difference this time would be shooting in a contained set to abide by the guidelines of the present COVID-19 situation. And that would set the trend of single-location films in the upcoming future. In the next step, just imagine Brad to take his place as the beginner on the go!
A perfect blend
On the other hand, Leitch has worked with Pitt twice in “Ocean’s 11” and “Troy” who even rewarded the actor with a cameo in Deadpool 2. The Wickian spirit would undoubtedly play a major force in the signed deal that has been described as a sound combination of Speed and Non-Stop!
The real masterminds
Antoine Fuqua, the real man behind the project is co-producing the movie alongside Leitch and Kelly McCormick via their 87 North banner and Kat Samick. Ryosuke Saegusa and Yuma Terada, who happen to be the co-founders of CTB Inc. have been appointed as executive producers on the project.
