Brad Pitt, the official jokester of the 2020 awards season, wrote a grand one-liner about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s recent decision to step down as senior royals from the House of Windsor and move across the Atlantic.
The pioneering Once Upon a Time in Hollywood star won the British Academy of Film and Television Arts as the best supporting actor, who was unable to be present in London to receive the award due to family obligations. His co-star, Margot Robbie, accepted it on his behalf.

The Final Joke!
Robbie read out loud, “He starts by saying, ‘Hey Britain. Heard you just became single. Welcome to the club!’” referring to the United Kingdom’s now-official decision to leave the European Union. After thanking the Academy, Brad Pitt stated that he would name his award Harry because “he’s really excited about bringing it back to the States with him.”
However, recent reports have suggested that the couple might also spend time in California.
The announcement was followed by the crowd’s reaction of bursting out into laughter which was prompted by a quick response from Robbie saying, “His words, not mine!”
The Ever Awkward Moment
And the irony lies in the presence of Prince Harry’s brother, Prince William, and his wife the Duchess of Cambridge who were sitting in the crowd.
