The relationship between the co-stars of Mr. and Mrs. Smith has purposefully begun to ease in recent times. And the only reason for the settlement lies in co-parenting their children, PEOPLE has reported on Wednesday.
In better terms
The publication’s source told, ‘It’s taken them a long time, with a lot of family therapy, to get to this point’ as the efforts helped chalk out how the 56-year-old actor, ‘could be a dad again’. According to the insider, what has subsequently eased the tension over the matter is that the couple’s six kids ‘are no longer dealing with separation issues from Angie’, their mother.
The consequent rifts
Following the couple’s marriage, Brad and Angelina have sought legal actions over custody and finances, while the Maleficent star demanded more money from Brad than his actual wish. On the other hand, the living arrangements as propelled by Brad became one of the major factors to stop Angelina from moving out of the country with their kids.
In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar in 2019 for the December/January issue, Angie told, ‘I would love to live abroad and will do so as soon as my children are 18. Right now I’m having to base where their father chooses to live.’ That was indeed a compulsion for her.
A familial reconciliation
Previously, Brad had confessed his obsession with alcohol until Angelina decided to leave him. Later on, he came forward to give up such preoccupation, while last year an attorney granted him more time with the children.
The Salt actress gave birth to Vivienne and Knox in Nice, which is less than 200km from her and Brad’s Chateau Miraval in the South Of France. The pair, however, travelled to Namibia for Shiloh’s birth when the government subjected the area to a no-fly zone over the celebs’ security.
