Mike Perry recently discussed the sexual assault allegations against Conor McGregor, expressing skepticism over certain aspects of the victim’s testimony. On the Champ and The Tramp podcast, Perry quoted a statement from the victim claiming McGregor had likened the attack to his 2018 UFC loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov.
The victim was quoted by Perry as saying that McGregor “choked her before the sexual assault to make her understand how he felt before he had to ‘tap out three times’ in the UFC octagon.”

While Perry admitted that he didn’t know much of the incident to clear the name of McGregor, he added: “we all wanted to be famous fighters but then you reach a certain level or pinnacle and then you’re running into these demons, I guess.”

Since the court found Conor McGregor liable for sexual assault, reactions spilled within the MMA community. For instance, Islam Makhachev-a close associate to Khabib Nurmagomedov-is the UFC lightweight champion who issued sharp criticism at McGregor.
Through social media, Makhachev expressed his disgust saying, “It was a matter of time till this filthy bastard be exposed. Alcoholic, drug junkie + rapist. Many more facts to come out, trust me!
This is amidst extensive animosity long sowed and nurtured between the camps of McGregor and Khabib as their infamous rivalry unfolds.
