So with the thrill of a 3-2 Fenerbahce win over Trabzonspor, when sealed in the 12th minute of stoppage time by a Sofyan Amrabat’s goal, Mourinho got too excited to stay in control. Trying to come up with a cool knee slide, the Portuguese coach slipped into an awkward fall.
This is the moment it went viral instantly, and everyone enjoyed their laughter about it. With Mourinho being cautious in each movement on the sideline, this failed slide was all the more of an exciting incident in otherwise a stressful game.

Off the field, too, Mourinho never lost momentum. In the post match interviews, he continued venting his opinions on those decisions he found unfair on the field during the game.
Eight-Minute Rant and Fiery Critique of VAR Decisions
Mourinho and his long penchant for being straightforward would not be expected to skip sharing his opinion even in the post-match conference. He did not even wait for the final whistle to speak out, already discussing the match referee Atilla Karaoglan, and the VAR as well.
He showed dissatisfaction with some calls made during the match but questioned Mr Atilla, who was the referee during the match, and what he expected when the match was on.
“He goes from the invisible man to the most important man in the match,” said Mourinho. Revisiting this subject of frustration was Mogadishu because he felt that VAR concerning those penalties given to Trabzonspor was rather over the top.
“What about a straight red card for Bright? What was the referee Karaoglan doing? Sipping tea with his feet up on the desk?” he stated, insinuating that the official overlooked a crucial part in favour of Fenerbahce.
Mourinho’s comment comes at a time when he makes statements that are in favour of the fans who suffered the imposition of poor officiating, after which all his comments thereafter are focused towards clarifying the issue of VAR and its effects on officiating.
