In Escape from Tarkov, the “Energy Crisis” quest, offered by the Mechanic, is essential for players looking to progress in the game and unlock valuable items. The mission requires players to locate and mark four fuel tanker trucks on the Lighthouse map, making it one of the simpler but vital quests for unlocking trader rewards. This guide outlines each tanker’s location to help players complete the quest efficiently and reap rewards, including experience points, currency, and exclusive gear.

Understanding the Energy Crisis Quest in Escape from Tarkov

The Energy Crisis quest in *Escape from Tarkov* is a task given by the Mechanic that focuses on the Lighthouse map. This quest is essential for progressing through the game, as it allows players to unlock specific items from Traders at higher loyalty levels, which can give a considerable advantage in later stages. Though it involves navigating enemy-heavy areas and precise marking, it’s straightforward once you know each location.

Your objective is to find and mark four key fuel tankers on the Lighthouse map. Using an MS2000 Marker, you’ll need to carefully approach each tanker location, often guarded by Rogues, and set the marker before moving to the next. Following this sequence can save time and reduce the risk of being caught off guard by enemies.

Tanker Locations and Key Safety Tips

The first tanker is near the southern entrance of the Water Treatment Plant, located on the road. Be cautious here, as Rogues may be positioned nearby. A good strategy is to clear out any Rogues in your immediate area to prevent interruptions while you place the MS2000 Marker on the tanker. Once marked, quickly move to the next location to minimize risk.

The second tanker is just outside Building 3, situated on a road by the Water Treatment Plant’s eastern wall. This area can be dangerous as well, with Rogues frequently patrolling the surrounding buildings. Clearing out the enemies in Buildings 2 and 3 before attempting to mark this tanker will make the process smoother and safer.
