WWE made a major announcement on the latest episode of RAW regarding The Judgment Day’s World Tag Team Championship reign. The promotion confirmed that next week, a Triple Threat Tag Team match will determine the next challengers for Finn Balor and JD McDonagh, the reigning champions.

The New Day, the War Raiders, and the duo of Dragon Lee and Rey Mysterio will face off for the number one contender’s spot, intensifying the competition in WWE’s tag team division.

War Raiders, New Day, and LWO Advance to the Finals

On the October 16 episode of RAW, WWE held two semi-final matches to decide which teams would enter the Triple Threat match.

The New Day’s Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods claimed victory over Akam and Rezar of AOP, securing their spot in the finals.

Meanwhile, Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee from the LWO (Latino World Order) overcame American Made’s Brutus and Julius Creed, marking a significant win for the LWO.

The War Raiders, who had previously defeated Alpha Academy’s Otis and Akira Tozawa in their return to in-ring action, completed the lineup for next week’s high-stakes match.

Judgment Day’s Challenges to be Determined

The Judgment Day, with Finn Balor and JD McDonagh as the current champions, have been keeping a close watch on the tournament.

Their most recent title defence occurred on September 16, 2024, and they are now preparing for another challenge from the team that emerges victorious in the Triple Threat bout next week.
