DreamWorks Animation has brought the beloved children’s chapter book series The Wild Robot to life with an all-star cast. The film adaptation, directed by Chris Sanders, follows Roz, a robot who washes up on a deserted island and learns the value of community while raising a baby goose. The movie, based on Peter Brown’s bestselling books, is already a box office hit and has received glowing reviews for its heartwarming story and relatable characters.

Lupita Nyong’o, Pedro Pascal, and Kit Connor lead the star-studded cast, providing the voices of the main characters in this touching adventure. The actors’ performances bring new depth to the story’s themes of survival, belonging, and family, making the film a hit with both children and adults.

Lupita Nyong’o as Roz: Oscar-winning

actress Lupita Nyong’o voices the robot Roz, who initially seems out of place on the animal-filled island.

Inspired by the voices of Alexa and Siri, Nyong’o gives Roz a calm, robotic tone that gradually softens as the character becomes a nurturing mother to the gosling Brightbill.

Nyong’o’s portrayal adds warmth to Roz’s journey from a mechanical being to an essential part of the animal community.

Pedro Pascal as Fink: Pedro Pascal

voices Fink, a solitary fox who forms an unexpected bond with Roz and her adopted gosling, Brightbill.

Fink helps Roz raise Brightbill, driven by a mix of kindness and his desire to fit in. Pascal’s performance brings charm and depth to the character, who is both clever and heartfelt.

The film’s rich voice cast, including Mark Hamill, Catherine O’Hara, and Ving Rhames, adds layers to the emotional narrative, creating a movie experience that resonates across generations.
