Holmes, 47, revealed that he and Amy Robach have officially taken a big step in their relationship by moving in together. The decision was spurred by a difficult situation involving Robach’s 21-year-old daughter, Ava, who had been living in a roach-infested apartment due to a neighbouring squatter and hoarder. Despite their best efforts, the issue couldn’t be resolved, prompting Ava and her roommate to seek help from Robach. Without hesitation, Robach allowed her daughter to move in with her, stating, “I’ve just said, ‘Hey y’all, knock yourselves out. I’ll be at T.J.’s.’” This marked the beginning of their new cohabitation arrangement, which they confirmed had been in place for the “past few weeks.”
While the couple’s initial plan was temporary, they now acknowledge that they “might be living together longer” with Ava moving out of her old apartment. Holmes called the living situation ideal, especially with both of them working early-morning schedules. “I’ve enjoyed the time that we’ve had together,” he said. “It’s been a little different but I’ve liked it … where we know where we’re going to end up every night instead of having a plan.” The seamless transition appears to be working well for both, with Holmes humorously admitting that he’s been trying to find something wrong with the setup but hasn’t had much luck.

Robach playfully described their new living arrangement as a “trial run,” while Holmes expressed his contentment with the arrangement, adding that it’s been enjoyable for the couple to end their day together without having to coordinate plans. With their apartments located within walking distance of each other, the couple has been easily transitioning between their homes, giving them flexibility and comfort as they navigate this new phase in their relationship. The pair have hit several major milestones in their romance since it went public in November 2022, and this move has only brought them closer.
The only minor hiccups in their new setup have been related to temperature control, with both agreeing that their shared apartment tends to be “too cold” or “too hot” at times. However, Holmes reassured listeners that, “Other than that, we’ve been good.” Their light-hearted attitude toward these small issues reflects how well they’re adjusting to living together, and it seems that their cohabitation might last beyond just a temporary solution for Ava’s situation.
