On Monday, September 30, 2024, Justin Theroux and his fiancée, Nicole Brydon Bloom, were seen attending the highly anticipated Broadway debut of Robert Downey Jr. at the Lincoln Center Theater in New York City. The couple showed their support for Downey, who stars in “McNeal,” a play written by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Ayad Akhtar and directed by Bartlett Sher. The show, which explores themes of literature, estranged relationships, and artificial intelligence, runs until November 24, 2024.
Theroux, 53, sported a casual yet stylish look with black pants, a white T-shirt, and a black jacket, while Bloom opted for a chic black romper. The pair looked effortlessly coordinated for their night out on Broadway.
Longtime Friends Support Each Other
It’s no surprise that Theroux and Bloom were in the audience to cheer on Downey, as Theroux and the “Iron Man” actor have a longstanding friendship.
Theroux co-wrote the screenplay for “Iron Man 2,” which Downey headlined, and the two have maintained a close relationship over the years.
In a touching Instagram post, Bloom shared a glimpse of the play, capturing a special moment from the night.
Their presence marked another highlight in a year filled with public appearances, as the couple was also recently spotted at Olivia Rodrigo’s GUTS tour in Philadelphia alongside Downey.
Their Engagement & Love Story
Theroux and Bloom confirmed their engagement in late August 2024. Theroux revealed during an appearance on “The Drew Barrymore Show” that he first met Bloom at a friend’s party, and their connection was instant.
He recalled being taken aback by her beauty, and the relationship blossomed from there.
As Theroux continues his career in film, currently starring in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Bloom has been a constant source of support, making this Broadway outing just one of many they’ve enjoyed together in recent months.
