Formula 1 driver Lando Norris has announced that he will sport a unique helmet design featuring the Quadrant logo at the upcoming Singapore Grand Prix. This special helmet will pay homage to his partnership with the game Valorant.
Lando Norris new homage
The helmet’s design departs from Norris’s fluorescent green signature, which doubles as the brand’s primary color. The company said in a social media post that the “liquid carbon” design is a “teaser for Quadrant’s rebrand,” which is scheduled for early 2025.
Norris has already included Quadrant into his designs for Formula One helmets. In keeping with the company’s announcement that it would be joining the Halo Championship Series (HCS), the driver wore a 2022 Singapore Grand Prix outfit that was modeled after the character Master Chief from Halo. In 2024, Lando Norris became the second Formula One driver to don a helmet with a gaming motif.
The Visa Cash App Yuki Tsunoda of RB participated in a partnership with Red Bull Gaming by donning a helmet with a VALORANT motif throughout the Belgian Grand Prix weekend.
Quadrant popularity in recent years
Quadrant has established itself as a well-known brand in the US gaming and esports industries since its 2020 launch. The company announced content artist WillNE as a co-owner and raised a seven-figure sum of money through an investment round in January 2024. The company also extended its current relationship with JBL Quantum, an audio brand, in May 2024.
Quadrant fields Ethan “Fifakill” Pink in Call of Duty: Warzone tournaments in addition to its Halo squad. The company offers athlete sponsorship, gear sales, and five content developers outside of esports.
A unique identity on the track
The introduction of personalized helmets has become a trend among drivers in recent years, allowing them to express their individuality while adhering to safety regulations. By wearing a Quadrant-themed helmet, Norris not only stands out among his peers but also reinforces the idea that motorsport can coexist with other entertainment industries like gaming.
As Lando Norris prepares for the Singapore GP, all eyes will be on him—not just for his performance on the track but also for his innovative approach to blending racing with esports culture through his distinctive helmet design.
